Timeless Black and White Wedding in Northeast Iowa | Seth + McKenna

Seth and McKenna had known of each other for years, but they officially started talking when he playfully accused her of selling him rotten apples at Kwik Star. Funny enough, they also went to the same prom his senior year, but we weren’t each other’s dates and didn’t even notice each other!

Their first date was at Crossroads Movie Theater in Waterloo, where they ended up seeing the only movie available — it wasn’t great, so they didn’t really watch much. Since then, we’ve enjoyed a simple life filled with family, fun, and plenty of time with their dog, Archie. Whether they’re cooking at home, trying new restaurants, or watching Seth’s nieces and nephews in their activities, they love spending quality time together.

On July 3rd, 2023, during a family gathering, Seth surprised McKenna by proposing. As they lined up for a family picture, he had his sister distract her, and when she turned around, there he was on one knee. It was such a special moment, and she’s so happy he thought to include their family.

Seth and McKenna got married at the Floyd County Fairgrounds on a gorgeous October day. They chose a classy and timeless black and white theme and were surrounded by so much love! After a few very emotional “first looks” the whole wedding party hopped on a bus and drove to the local golf course where the stunning fall foliage made for a perfect backdrop. They returned to the venue for a romantic ceremony with dimmed lighting and a beautiful fabric draped stage. The night was full of fun, laughter and happy tears as everyone witnessed the vows and shared heartfelt speeches.

Thank you to Seth and McKenna for choosing me to document their perfect day!
